A Fun, Full First Week

We started Phonics this week, Miss Barr and Miss Gouldthorpe were very impressed with the boys efforts and perseverance.

The boys enjoyed their first specialist lessons. During Music they joined in with the actions to different songs and learnt about the violin.

We explored the Numicon during Maths and worked on our number recognition and counting skills.

We practised writing our names in cursive and then enjoyed decorating our name cards.

Mrs Price talked to us about ‘Been there, Done it’, she has sent a letter out to families and you will find the books in book bags.

Welcome to RG’s Blog

Welcome to our class blog!

The blog will be updated weekly for you all to see the fun activities we have been up to in the week. There will also be some Maths homework added each week.

It has been a delight getting to know the boys this week and watching them make new friends. The boys have been exploring the activities and toys available and lunch times have been very popular.

The boys now know their table colours and they will collect marbles for their achievements. At the end of the week we will count the marbles and the winning table will receive certificates! This encourages the boys to work together and celebrate as a group.

We will start homework next week, you will find the homework folders in book bags.

This week the boys have been showing us their artistic skills by creating their own self-portraits. They also made family members with play dough.
