Yesterday the boys performed magnificently in the Reception production of Jack and the Beanstalk. All the boys remembered their lines and delivered them with confidence. All the boys took their roles very seriously. Thank you to Mrs Lund and Miss Attzs for their hard work and production skills. The boys really made us all very proud.
Yesterday we had a special surprise assembly for Mrs Laws.
We all wish Mrs Laws a very long and happy retirement and we will miss her greatly.
We have now completed our last full week in Reception.
The boys have enjoyed using Purple Mash in the Computing Suite. They are all proficient at many of the activities available. 
In Maths this week we have reinforced our understanding of repeated addition and how we can write these sentences using the multiplication symbol.
We have now had our last Understanding the World lesson and the boys are so knowledgeable about different modes of transport.
Finally we have seen the sunshine and the boys have enjoyed walking on our new stilts.
‘Star Boy’ sessions continue to inform and entertain us. This week we were taught how to play chess and solve the Rubik’s Cube!

All libraries in Hertfordshire are running a Roald Dahl reading challenge over the summer. This is a great opportunity to introduce the boys to these wonderful books.

Yesterday the boys joined in with a fantastic Maths Workshop. The boys sang, danced and wiggled to the Maths songs and rhymes. By the end of the session we could all count in 2’s and we all knew our left hand from our right hand. We used huge Numicon pieces and learnt about finding the difference between numbers.
This week in Maths we have looked at repeated addition and how we can show these number sentences as a multiplication sentence.
In Literacy we have written about what we are looking forward to next academic year.
The boys have continued to work on their final assembly performance and we can’t wait to share this with you all.
It has been wonderful to see so many parents at our consultations. How fast this year has gone!
