A Fun Full Week

This week we learnt the letters i, p and n. The boys have been practising the letters in many different ways:

We listened to the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?’ and created a big collage of the Brown Bear.

We went on a Mindful Nature Walk in our nature area and found lots of interesting things such as, leaves and cones. We used our senses to notice the different colours, the veins in the leaves, feel the different textures and smell the leaves and flowers.

We started ‘Food fun’ with Mrs Hillcoat on Wednesday, we are making fruit hedgehogs!

Star boy will start on the 01.10.18

Please could the boys bring in something to show about their favourite toy or hobby:

Monday: Alec

Tuesday: Andrew

Wednesday: Andrey

Thursday: Arran

Friday: Austin

Our weekly challenge of ‘hang your coat up independently’ will also start on the 01.10.18. Please encourage the boys to hang their coats up using the loop attached to the coat. If possible, they can hang their coat up at home too.

Learning new skills

This week we started learning the cursive script. The boys loved meeting ‘Terry’ our class puppet who helps us with the formation of the letters. They all worked really hard and loved showing their homework in class.

Mrs Price came to talk to us about ‘Been there, done it’. Lots of the boys were very keen to take part in the challenges.

We made our own name cards using the cursive script and decorated them.

We started number work this week. Focussing on the numbers ‘0’ and ‘1’ and singing lots of counting songs.

So lovely to meet you all!

Welcome to RG’s blog!

We have been busy this week getting to know our new friends’ names and finding out all about them!

We have also been getting to know our new classroom and trying out the many different activities and games available.

Painting self-portraits has been good fun and we enjoyed making our family members using play dough.
