Dear Santa

During Phonics this week we worked on reading sentences and answering questions. We went outside to draw and label what we could see and played ‘cross the river’, the boys had to read the tricky words and then cross the river with crocodiles.

We continued to look at addition and ‘1 more and 1 less’ during Maths. The boys enjoyed a game of dominoes.

We started our letters to Santa this week, the boys worked very hard to ensure their letters were neat so Santa could clearly read them! They used their Phonic knowledge to have a go at sounding out and spelling the words. We also made picture collages.

Reading winter stories in the igloo:

We have been busy preparing for the Christmas play next week and we are very excited for you to watch!

Don’t forget to bring in £1 donation and a fallen leaf to help raise funds towards a tree and hedges to be planted on site here at Lochinver, in support of the Woodland Trust’s ‘Big Climate Fight Back’. When the boys bring the £1, they can write a small message (at school) about the importance of trees on a leaf and add it to our Pre Prep tree.
