A week full of sunshine!

We have been name writing this week. We made our own name cards and decorated them. The boys have made a fantastic start with learning the Lochinver cursive script!

For our Understanding the World lesson, we started our topic of ‘Senses’. We discussed our 5 senses.

During Welly time, we enjoyed balancing beanbags and using resources to develop our gross motor skills. We also enjoyed the Adventure playground this week!

If you are out and about in the next couple of days, please collect some autumn treasures to bring into school. We are planning to use the treasures for autumnal art during a Welly Time lesson. Treasures can include: colourful leaves, pine cones, conkers or anything relating to autumn. Please bring in for the 6th October. It would be lovely to see pictures of you collecting the materials, please upload to Tapestry.

We start ‘Show and Tell’ on Monday (27.9.20), please can the boys bring in their favourite toy or hobby or a picture of their favourite toy/hobby. Please can the boys think of why they like the toy/hobby, ready to share with the class.

Welcome to RG’s Class Blog

We had a lovely first week together! We explored the classroom and started to make new friends. ‘Bug in the Rug’ was a fun game, helping us to learn each other’s names.

We went out onto the Music field for Welly Time.

We talked about our summer holidays and drew pictures of our experiences.

The boys have enjoyed painting self-portraits as well as completing other small tasks with adults.

Please do encourage the boys to leave you at the gate in the mornings and walk into the classroom on their own. This promotes their independence and confidence.

Have a lovely weekend and see you Monday!
