Spread your wings, it’s time to fly. Make the leap, own the sky.

The sun came out for our picnic.

The boys took home a big bag of things on Tuesday, hopefully you have found the homework letter and Maths book to complete. You can keep their exercise books and independent red folders at home. I hope as you look through the books, you will be as proud as Mrs Curran and I, the boys have worked so hard this year and the progress they have made has been very impressive.

Thank you for a wonderful year. The boys have grown in confidence and self-esteem, they work together, encourage each other and look out for their friends. They are an amazing class who we are sad to let go but we know they must spread their wings and start a new chapter.

Have a lovely summer,

Love From Miss Gouldthorpe and Mrs Curran

From Actors to Athletes

An amazing sports day, the boys all enjoyed the morning, tried their best and cheered each other on.

We recapped 3D and 2D shapes this week, I was very impressed with the boys’ memory of the shape names and the properties. We played some fun shape games, including bingo and what’s in the bag.

For Art this week, we chose our favourite transport stencil, carefully traced around it and used our colour mixing skills to paint.

We learnt about motorbikes during Understanding of the World and used the iPads to create pictures of motorbikes. The boys could enter the code, select the correct app and use a range of tools to create their motorbikes.

Star boy week beginning: 10.07.17, please bring in some information about your favourite mode of transport.
