Maths Homework

The boys have been doing very well learning how to write their numbers. They have learnt that all numbers start at the top and they are trying hard to make them sit on the line. For homework, please can you practise writing numbers 0-3. Please let us know how you get on by commenting on this blog post. To do this, please click on the ‘heart’ to the left of this post. You can also bring in independent work from home, which we can display on our ‘independence wall’. Have fun!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?

We read the story ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?’ and in our Literacy books we listed what we could see around the classroom.

The boys enjoyed the Buried treasure game on the Smartboard during Phonics. They can play at home too:

Lots of fun during Maths this week, working on the formation of numbers, exploring the Numicon and playing number games.

Our first full week

We started our Phonic lessons this week, the boys tried very hard with recognising the names and sounds of the letters ‘s’, ‘a’ and ‘t’. We practised writing the letters in the sand, with chalk and in our books. The boys loved meeting and helping our class puppet ‘Terry’ who often needs help with writing his letters!

The boys started their specialist lessons this week: Computing, Drama, Music and PE. They enjoyed meeting their new teachers.

We started learning numbers and working on our counting in Maths.

We visited the Music field on Thursday and had a go at using the hoops and running races.

At the end of the day on Friday, Mr Walker read the boys a story which they loved!

Well done for a fantastic first week, boys! You have all worked very hard, keep it up!

Welcome to RG’s Blog

On their first week, the boys have been enjoying getting to know each other and forming friendships. They have been painting their self-portraits, writing their names and exploring the different games in the classroom.

We are looking forward to a full week ahead with lots of fun activities planned!
