Traditional Tales

Strengthening our fine motor skills:

We read the story Jolly Postman and wrote sorry letters to Baby Bear from Goldilocks. Miss Gouldthorpe and Miss Barr were very impressed with the boys beautiful letters! We looked at maps this week and created our own maps of the Postman’s journey. During Welly Time we used the iPads to take photos of the school grounds, we then made our maps of Lochinver House.

During Maths, we have been looking at all the different ways to make 6 and 7.

We enjoyed our story hunt all about health. We met Big Bird and learnt about staying healthy through regular exercise, looking after our teeth and healthy eating!

Mental Health Week

We had a brilliant Monday morning, eating breakfast together and catching up with news from the weekend.

We have been completing mental health week activities, we made ‘support balloons’- around the outside of the balloons we wrote those who we can talk to and who support us through difficult times.

During Maths we have been playing games to help us understand number, counting and addition.

Have a happy half term.

We have finished our weekly challenges but please do continue to encourage independence at home.
