A Fun Week

During Maths this week, we looked at addition using our fingers and objects.

We created our ‘dream houses’ this week and used our Phonic knowledge to write a list of the different things we would want. The boys came up with some good ideas, including: a fun slide, lots of sweets and giant toys!

Mrs Pomroy read the story 3 Little Pigs in French to the boys. The boys were very engaged during the story and Mrs Pomroy was impressed with their French. We also made the 3 Little Pigs houses.

The Tall Stories company visited us on Friday to perform the story of The Snail and the Whale. It was a very special treat and the boys thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Maths Challenge

This week we have been looking at numbers 12 and 13. The boys have learnt about ‘teen numbers’. The boys learnt that numbers beyond 10 start with number 1 and this represents 10.  We have been partitioning numbers beyond 10. This week could you please use numbers 11, 12 and 13. Pick a card, select ten objects of your choice and see how many more you need to make the chosen number. You can also draw the objects. Have fun!
