Our Maths focus this week has been 2D shapes. The boys enjoyed their shape walk around the school and were amazed by how many they could see, consequently counting the tallies proved to be tricky!
With Christmas fast approaching our lovely parent helper has been busy helping the boys decorate delicious Christmas biscuits.
In phonics we have looked at ‘y’, ‘x’ and our first digraph ‘sh’.
With Santa’s Workshop now open the boys have been very busy helping the Elves with their presents. All the boys had a great time cutting, sticking and wrapping.
Letters to Santa have been written and are ready to be sent to the North Pole.
In Understanding the World the boys have looked at animals, their babies and their homes. We all learnt new animal baby names including Miss Fletcher and I, as we were informed that baby hedgehogs are called hoglets and baby squirrels are kits!
Have a lovely weekend!
