Not only is this a creative activity, it is also great for strengthening hands and fingers. This, in turn, helps with early handwriting!

If you would like to have a go at making play dough for school you can sign up in the cloakroom. It is quick, fun and really easy! The boys will love joining in and helping you, it will also be a great opportunity to measure different quantities together. (So, there is a maths link too!) Any texture is great fun so please don’t worry if it’s a bit gloopy!

Shop bought dough is great but it is not as fun as making your own! You can find the recipe below

Microwave Play Dough

Ingredients

150g flour

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 tablespoon of cooking oil

  2. When it is all mixed, place in the microwave for about 1 minute.

  4. Keep stirring and microwaving for 20 seconds until it be one sticky.
